Creating a whistleblowing policy

With many employees worried about what will happen if they raise concerns and many managers seemingly not knowing what to do if a concern is raised, it seems sensible to create a policy that addresses these issues. The policy must make it clear that the employer is committed to stopping malpractice and that it is supported by the directors.

The British Standards Institution has developed a code of practice for whistleblowing arrangements: forms/PASs/PAS-1998.
